Great video — interesting stuff! I’m really looking forward to reading this book, particularly after reading the New York Times excerpt. The excerpt alone has already had a significant effect on how I look at my purchases of cut flowers.

I have a lot of empathy for people who process cut flowers all day. Having toured wholesale florists in California, I’ve seen that it’s a cold, repetitive, smelly, chemical-laden job. I’m sure picking the flowers is no picnic either. Let’s start showing we care with our dollars.
should be a very interesting read! i’ve already put a hold request for it @ the library! i hadn’t realized how much is done outside the u.s. with respect to this part of the industry!
